Loving the view

Despite the fairly grim weather, we had a great time cycling over the old railway line from the ironstone mines. At least the track was quiet!

We were back at the cottage in time for lunch, and not being ones for sitting around we made plans for a drive out to Whitby for the afternoon. However, the visibility on the moor was already poor and forecast to worsen so we opted instead for a walk along the river to the village in search of hot chocolate. The bribe for the kids for making them do more exercise. The only place open was a very nice pub, so it was 2 pints of beer and 2 hot chocolate and then a walk back, collecting sticks for the fire.
