This may not be the most skilled photo of today but it was certainly the silliest.

The British Museum are celebrating the horse with events in Horse Power Day. Outside there were parades of horses, lectures (Pegasus to Dobbin), or you could make a hotchpotch horse from a selection of manes, terrific tails or handsome hooves.

Inside there were the Belles of London City, taking you "on a canter through the mysterious world of the Morris hobby horse".

A real old English tradition, why is our morris dancing guaranteed to raise a laugh?
