Thanksgiving

As my friends and family know there is nothing material wise that I want or need and I discourage any presents much preferring to give than receive but tonight I was overwhelmed with a gift to which much thought had been given and ten years in the making.,which truly took my breath away.A couple of whom I am immensely fond were part of their five friend syndicate buying a barrel of whisky ten years ago on Islay , and now their 59 bottles are available ,to thank me for all their lovely holidays in one of my Skye holiday cottages...for which they have always paid a rent...... they wanted to give me the first bottle .It will be so treasured.......Thanksgiving for human decency and kindness and thoughtfulness.
