Victorian roads
Yesterday's blip should a big road eating machine. Today's shows what's revealed when it's finished its dinner!
These cobbles still exist under the layers of new road.
My cottage was built in 1879 and I'm unsure when the cobbles were laid but it surely is 100 years plus. Makes you wonder the logic of new rubbish layers of road. I'm sure the road has been re-laid three or four times since the cobbles were put down. From closer inspection they are in perfect condition.
