Malham Day Three
The weather was very kind today. There was no rain and little wind. The sun also kept away most of the time, which helped because we were photographing water most of the time.
The main image is taken at Wainwath Falls in the water below one set of falls and where a stream joined the main river from the side. The incoming water created wonderful patterns. I spent a lot of time working out the exposure and, in particular, the shutter speed required to capture these spirals.
One nice thing about this workshop is having the opportunity to work on your own, with input if you want it. We spread out and so no one will have the same images.
The second image is at Kidson Force near Keld. This is a small portion of the uppermost fall. I liked the way I could see water tumbling behind a filamentous layer of water.
Both these images really need to be seen on the black background, so click on the enlarge button to see them please.
