Look where you are going.
This splendid weather vane is at the Hauser and Wirth Gallery in Bruton, Somerset. The original is on the Cupola of the Whitechapel Gallery in London. It was designed by Canadian "conceptualist" Rodney Graham.
It shows the Humanist Scholar Erasmus engrossed in a book whilst riding a horse backwards. Erasmus wrote a book entitled " In praise of Folly". The design shows the weather blown Erasmus so intent in his study that he does not know or care where he is going.
Thanks to everyone for putting my Ginkgo tree into the popular. It is very photogenic and although many leaves have fallen in the last couple of days I am using one and possibly two extras to record some additional views.
