Snow in Oaxaca?

It makes me laugh when I see these blow-up snowmen perched on roof tops or in stores, and hear Christmas songs such as "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" played in stores. 
As far as I know it has NEVER snowed here, and the only people who would ever have seen a snowman would have lived in the US or Canada!
