Watts

Do you know the difference between watts and kilowatthours and voltage and amps? I struggle to be honest to get it clear in my mind. Apparently our consumption yesterday (7) was as good as it gets, this includes running things like the fridge and ceiling fans etc. my husband likes to monitor such things so it is interesting when we put on the jug or oven. This monitor is in plain view on the kitchen bench. We have gas central heating but the fans that shift the warm air around draw more power then we could imagine.

We are planning on getting solar panels on the roof. After that we will make changes so we use as much power during daylight hours as we need instead of after the sun goes down. It will be interesting to see how we go...
