Tulip tree

Liriodendron tulipfera bloom, with bonus bee.

I had passed this tree several times this week before noticing that it was in flower. There was a huge specimen in the garden where I grew up which flowered every year, but the flowers were always too high up to be seen properly. Not that much like a tulip, but how lovely!
