Stonehenge

Another day as a Tourist.

My first visit to STonehenge was only a few years ago - I visited once as a teenager with my parents, but was ill and spent the time in the car park! Since then I have been coming fairly regularly trying out new camera kit and the like.

Today the weather started off rather dull and dreary, with threat of rain, so I hoped for a quiet visit with good cloud formation. By the time I got here the cloud cover had broken, and the mainly American and German tourists were out in strenght (the car park had become a coach park, with us mere car drivers relegated to the overflow car park in the field).

However, the blustery conditions, and the policy of keeping people behind ropes away from the stones, meant that with a bit of patience I was able to get this shot of the stones lit up as the clouds skuttled across the sky and relatively free of people.
