Gearhead Still Life

My friend is rebuilding his 2003 Dodge heavy duty truck transmission.
I enjoyed my first ever view inside this type of automatic transmission (48-RE).
It is a lovely bit of automotive engineering, elegant in its design and execution.
The rebuilding process is surprisingly straightforward, though a long and complex procedure.
I'm happy being the "gopher" on this job.
