Hottest Day on Record

Hottest day in DC but it was 110 degrees in New Delhi so it could always be worse.
Background shot is the deserted water fall playground, on the river in the Yards Park at dusk. It was still 102 degrees. Then this wild storm blew in and knocked out about a million homes so they will be all without power today and it will be another stinker,close to 100 ...Lightning,heavy rain ,trees falling in 75mph winds.
the wind was hurling trash and light stuff from the building site nearby ,airborne stuff mixed with sand made you hide inside till it was over.
Then thunder and lightning followed by monsoon rains slammed us ..
what a night but lucky us live in the DC power grid near The Capitol so were cool calm and have 2 friends camping out as they have no power in their houses.
Party night tonight ,crank up the Air/con and break out the Mohito's
