Last Rays of June Sunshine

Well, what a great day I have had.....away with dups and another ex blipper to who knows where.....just got in the car and drove south.

First stop coffee at Riverside Cafe on the south side of the mighty Waitaki River, nice open fire we became very comfortable. However, move on we did driving down little roads trying to get to the sea. We finally did at the Waitaki Mouth.

Then we drove from Glenavy to Morven along the country roads and found some very old rusted cars parked on the roadside. Lots of rustic photo's taken there!! A very late stop for lunch at 3.30pm then drove on to the Hunter hills area.

This one I took at the end of our trip at the Hunter Hills. The sun (on the left) was squeezing out the last rays for June.

By this time it was getting very cold, 3 deg and getting dark, so headed home.

Doug, bless him had a wonderful dinner cooking which is just being dished up as I type this.

A bonza day out with great friends, so lucky :)
