The Awakening

This statue pretty much captures my mood today. I'm feeling unusually stressed. Perhaps it's the uneasy tension around events in France and elsewhere; the prospects of having to worry - again - about the everyday things one usually does, or moving about between two countries that seem to be in the crosshairs of deranged maniacs. New York city just released a new app which allows people to take pix of anything or anyone they view as suspect and the pix are sent directly to the police... sigh. What is this world coming to?
