I did this some years ago to try out canvas work stitches.
Today was not a good day.
Coughing in the night so woke up tired
Workmen digging the foundations for our new porch discovered there was a gas pipe in the way (so extra cost and probably delays)
Work meeting in a very stuffy room, not good for the rest of the day's concentration
Decided to send apologies for tomorrow's meeting as it's a few hours in a usually stuffy room
Rash on back very annoying so didn't go for a run
But  - won't have to wait long for the minor surgery, there's a cancellation on Wednesday so I took it - that'll be one thing sorted
