Jumping Jack Flash
It’s coming into my last week at work and I still had to be out the house at 7am…..on this freezing, snowy Sunday morning. There’s no way to get out the village apart from by bike on a Sunday morning too. I took my MTB concerned that it may be a bit icy. I needn’t have worried although heading down the hill towards Hyde was Freeziiiiiiiing!
It was no hardship though as I was hosting Dave from TrainingPeaks and Joe who’s a famous cycling guru. Both were over to deliver TrainingPeaks University, a geekfest of cycling performance analysis. Surprisingly, I’m not much of a geek in this regard but I still love their product. Dave and Joe are great chaps too and it’s a privilege to be able to swap ideas with such a cycling legend as Mr Friel.
Just as good is meeting so many coaches, some being very familiar faces to me and others completely new. I’ll definitely be very sad when I leave British Cycling but I’m amazingly excited about heading to pastures new!
I then pedaled into town to say bye to Wayne n Jane at North Tea Power, my favourite café. I love these guys who have served me amazing coffee over the last 5 years and kept me entertained. I’ll really miss them too.
