At least the dog doesn't get so muddy when it is this cold.  

Decisions on Christmas plans and present buying were being made today.  It looks like, inevitably, Martin's, 80 year old parents feel they can no longer make the (huge) journey from Scotland down South for just a few days.

Clearly this has a ripple effect on everyone's plans but I think it's all under control and we will plan to see them early in the New Year.
