Life from city to village

The Hospital Grounds

I often wonder about those who work keeping the hospital grounds clean, tidy, but cheerful. I sometimes see them out and about, and they are out in all weathers. This morning there was a heavy frost, and it was still zero degrees outside when I arrived at work, just before the dawn. This was taken about two hours later. I was delivering the welcome message to a lecture theatre packed with new staff. It must be a harder task to keep the grounds looking cheerful in winter, but they have clearly put some thought in to using some evergreen shrubs to help the colour.

Thank you to the well wishers in regards to my cold. I've had the odd sneezing fit today, but have largely been better - although my lovely team have still suggested I stay in my office and keep away from them!
