Not sepia

You may think I've given this a sepia treatment, but I haven't.  It is unmessed-about colour pretty well straight from the camera.  Seedheads and reedheads in the nature reserve - pure joy.

Actually it was pretty blooming cold today, but the sun was gorgeous when out.  Took a long time to melt the frost though.  All my remaining garden flowers are suddenly looking sick.  The geraniums are okay inside, but the roses, fuchsia, salvia and sanguinium are all gone.  I do have some primroses, a lenten lily flower and a viburnum in bloom, though, so I can't complain.  (Me?  Complain?  Would I?)

Today is my gorgeous son's birthday.  We have had a little email/text exchange and will hopefully talk later, but he's on a work trip so I won't see him for another couple of weeks or so.  Still, very happy birthday, sweetheart.
