Golden light

Finally we woke to sunshine this morning, most welcome after so many grey wet days. With the clear blue skies came a sudden drop in temperature of course, although the forest was not quite as frosty -photographically speaking - as we might have liked.
The high winds have blown away many of the leaves but enough remain to bring a lovely golden glow to this path at Fairmead Bottom.
Zeus of course, doesn't mind the weather - as long as he can find sticks to be thrown - the bigger the better!
In other news, Violet has spent the weekend with us and what a delight she has been!  This afternoon she and I watched Frozen all the way through together - wonderful!
