Got To Know Them Pretty Well

Jon and I spent the weekend - all day Saturday and Sunday at a Facilitators Training Session.  We are going to start a Grief group for parents who have lost children to Substance Misuse and so the Child and Family Services felt we this training would be helpful.  The lady in the green sweater worked as hard as we did teaching the class.  There was a lot of listening and a LOT of role playing (Ughhhh).  The training was primarily for people who have children with active substance misuse disorder, but there was one other woman there who had lost her son around the same time that we lost Sumner.    

Jon had to leave early so he's not in the picture and I am because the trainer felt I HAD to be.

It will be a new adventure for us, but the first meeting is in December (10th) and we'll see how it goes.  We certainly can offer understanding and compassion.  

Great group of people who can use humor to get through the tough times, but who can also offer much in the way of knowledge and empathy.
