Black Swan Cygnets

Sunday visits to the Castle grounds have started to become a habit as today was my third Sunday in a row. Mum and dad met me for a stroll in the sunshine and a visit to the Wildlife pens with Connor the Assistant Wildlife Warden.

We met the new White peacock male who looked absolutely beautiful and the new black necked swans who were parading about the water like they owned the place! Connor told us they are the drama queens of the swan world despite being a lot smaller than other types of swans.

Down on the cascade water the black swan pair were basking in the sunshine with their baby cygnets. The babies are healthy and happy being raised by their parents which is great news.
