Ethan and I had a really lazy morning. He didn't wake till 7.20am which is unheard of, but even so only woke because Zoe went and sat on his chest of drawers and miaowed very loudly! Ethan's response was to shout "Zoe" over and over, sounding very annoyed at her!
We pottered around the house and he played in his sleeping bag. I got it months ago for him but today is the first time he has shown any interest in it. He curled up on the sofa in it and watched Balamory!
Unfortunately when it came to try to get him ready for his swimming class he wasn't so co-operative. It's one of the few times I've got really angry with him and it spoilt our lovely morning. We ended up running really late and I had to take him to the pool in his PJs and wellies (this was at 11.15am)!
Still, he redeemed himself in the class. He finally used a noodle (under protest, but he did it and at one point a Dad in the class told me Ethan was laughing, when I'd thought he was crying)! He also climbed out the pool by himself for the first time (although refused to do it a second time).
After that, I had to wait in for Ethan's Little Tikes playhouse to be delivered and typically it arrived within the first 30 mins of the timeslot. Still, we had Missus B & Lucinda round to our house for a playdate so was lovely to catch up with them.
Granny & Grandpa arrived just as they had left and just as I was trying to get Ethan to have a nap. Of course he clocked them in the driveway so I thought the chances of a nap were then nil. But he finally napped for 40 mins in his pushchair. Phew!
Hubbie assembled the playhouse when he got in from work and Ethan seems VERY taken with it!
