Polka

A long day, starting with a coach trip to Coatbridge (!) in the company of Lothian 68, in commemoration of Archie who was a lifelong fan of the Pars and who passed away recently. We spent a couple of hours in a hotel, looking at some of Archie's scrapbooks over a beer and a buffet.  Then we unfortunately had to attend the match at Cliftonhill. A dreary place, and a rather mediocre game of football that ended in a draw. Oof, it was cold; that special form of dank Scottish chill that penetrates to your bones. Then back to Embra where we jumped into the nearest car club car and hastened to North Berwick, where the lovely Sands was celebrating her 50th birthday. We checked in at the conveniently close B & B and managed to arrive at the party before they'd eaten all the food! Sands was on top form, and it was great to also meet up again with Sam who'd come all the way from Arizona for her bestie's party.

Sands turns out to have a lovely dad; several people asked if he would be interested in adopting them! Here he is polka-ing around with Sands in the Gay Gordons. Later, Willows were Stripped with enthusiasm.....
