Northallerton

This is yesterday's blip which did not want to upload last night!

Yesterday the snow which had been forecast arrived and temperatures plummeted! We decided to have a trip to Northallerton where my daughter is thinking of moving to next spring to suss out the area and pay a visit to Lewis and Cooper for some Christmas goodies.

When we set off the snow was heavy and the roads a bit iffy and we thought about turning back, but by the time we got to Malton the sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky! No wonder we are obsessed with the weather in this country!

Surprisingly good selection of shops in Northallerton, including a small department store (see blip), a Waterstones, Bettys and of course Lewis and Cooper ( for those of you you don't know L&C it is an old fashioned grocery store which stocks everything you could possible need for any recipe under the sun).

Today I shall be Christmas baking!
