Swinging By

If the crowds in the city centre are anything to go by, people seem to be shopping incredibly early for Christmas.
The whole razzmatazz throws me into a mild panic and while I think I could possibly opt out for a year and no one would notice at least for several months, there is always that first early Christmas card that pops through the letter box goading me into action.

This was the scene in Princes Street Gardens where the chair-o-plane rises to dizzying heights and looks dangerously close to hitting the Scott Monument. I wonder if the passengers draw their legs in as they swing by.
