Whimsical Korea

There are definitely some language barriers here in Korea, so there have been several instances where we must guess our way through life. These locks are one of those moments. At Seoul tower, on Namsan, there are walls full of locks with writing on them. Many people draw hearts on the locks as well. We think that maybe, you can make wishes on the locks or write messages to someone you love. It's amazing actually; it gave me a really good feeling- me and Joe plan to go back, this time, with a lock. Despite their love for cheesy lovey-dovey things like teddy bears and big carnival stuffed animals, I am really down with Korea's loving attitude towards people, towards peace. Sometimes I think the people here can come off as harsh, maybe cold at times, but there are so many helpful, generous people that just want to make others happy.... it's great.
