Digging

One more step closer to getting our kitchen project finished. Today a nice man from Thames Water came and started digging for the mains water shutoff valve at the end of our drive. He finally dug deep enough and found it but with tree roots in the way, he had to order another project and another team will have to come out and dig a bigger hole and bring the valve up closer to the surface. Mum says it's a good thing that we haven't had a water emergency - what's the use of having a valve covered by feet of dirt and tree roots??

He came early before the lodger left for work, and he didn't realize he was there and almost drove right over his legs!  It's a good thing he missed!

It was a very windy day again but sunny and Mum was determined to take me for a walk. We went to Crazies Hill, one of our favorites. I was happy but it was very windy as you can see by my ears flapping around!  I was eager to go back home. It was also more muddy than Mum thought it would be, so I had to have a foot bath when we got home! NOT my idea of fun!  

Other than that, Mum has been rushing around a lot and I even saw her packing her suitcase and an EXTRA bag, so I think this is vacation time for her!  Why can't we go somewhere together??  I will try to be brave!
