Memorial Service
"Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose." - From the television show The Wonder Years
A two hour drive up the mountain today to attend the memorial service for a woman we had never met.
She was the wife of an 86 year old colleague that we have not seen in 20 years (he retired and we changed companies).
A mutual friend sent us the obituary.
After we read it, we felt that we should attend.
It was a just a feeling, a feeling that he might appreciate having someone there from his past.
We went for him.
It turned out to be a good thing for us. :)
