A Hint of Winter

We has a couple of inches of snow overnight. There had been a slight thaw then a re-freeze by the time I got up, and I really didn't want to the car out onto slippery steep roads to get to Longshaw for my volunteer duties. I decided to go on the bus - a bit of a trek, but I was glad I went. It was a bitterly cold but lovely day, and a number of others had braved the conditions and were enjoying the fine views.
