Early Morning on the C&O Canal

We went to the canal early this morning for my husband to test out his recently rehabbed knee with a short run.  He did well, but his run was far too short for my photographic needs.  I managed to get a few pretty shots of the canal which still has some autumn color.  The sky was very blue and streaked with many jet trails.  It was very similar to what we used to see in the post 9-11 days, so one can’t help but feel that these may be due to more intense training exercises or an increased level of security…. or maybe I am just being paranoid.
