First snow ...

The first snow of this season fell this morning while we were trying to get to terms with the shutting down of public life in and around Brussels because of the increased terror threats. We don't actually live in Brussels, we live just outside the ring road around Brussels, in an expat enclave. Lots of wary people doing hasty grocery shopping for the weekend, when embassies and companies were telling their citizens and employees to stay inside in and around Brussels. l hope  the authorities will be able to catch the ones who they are fearing are planning attacks such as in Paris as soon as possible.
As for us, we would have done this anyway, we've gone on our regular journey to The Netherlands to see the boys this afternoon and are out of there for the moment.

Thanks so very much for all your comments, stars and even a handful of faves for yesterday's tulips. I wouldn't usually use the same flowers as the subject for two consecutive Blips but I do make an exception today. I need colour in these dark days !
