Sorting memories

The grandchildren came today and wanted to look at my boxes of old jewellery, a lot of which came from my Mum.  This silver bag needs a lot of cleaning up, but must be pretty old as I remember playing with it when I was a child, and it was already old then.  It is lined with lovely green silk. One side shows this minstrel serenading the lady, whilst the other shows a lovely garden (see extras).  My granddaughter was weighed down with necklaces and earrings after trying on everything all at once - I did take a photo, but she wouldn't stand still (dancing around in all her finery!) so too blurred to publish unfortunately!
