Winter has arrived

 Looking through our bedroom window early this morning the sky in the east was laden with heavy black clouds racing south.  In the opposite direction the sky was clear and blue. 
Despite the tranquillity of this scene, the wind was bitterly cold as we walked round the lakes although it was good to see the sun.
