Freezing sunshine

A wonderful day.  Too good to miss.

Yes, we had snow and stuff last night, but this morning dawned crisp and bright. A great swim in the outdoor pool (heated of course), a chilly run back to the changing room, and it was still too good to stay inside.

I went over to Elford Hall Gardens on my way to the farm shop for eggs and peanuts. No sign of the kingfisher, but the river was running deep and fast. Several cheeky birds but none posed.

This gorgeous boy has been a part of the Elford Garden project since it started and he loves to pose. I adore the ripples of the wind through his curls.
