Red Maids Founders Day

I love Founders Day celebrates Sir John Whitson, a visionary who provided a school for orphaned & destitute girls (bit different now) when schools were for boys. His personal life was full of loss (wives & daughters).
Pupils walk through the city, led by police horses, to thank their founder. His benevolent spirit is celebrated and thanked. What a guy!
Then I realise a parent nearby has a Mulberry handbag. Don't think that would've sat well with his ethics.
