Blue Sky Friday

I was going into Sheffield today down the Parkway which leads into the centre. There was plenty of dark clouds and rain. It was blustery and uninviting. I was stuck in some traffic and I slowly watched some brighter skies appear and a magnificent rainbow. Where can I park? It was just my luck that the parking lay-bys are shut at the moment as there are roadworks. I carried on down the Parkway hoping the rainbow would remain.

I reached the centre and it was fading. I had missed the chance. I still remember the joy of capturing my first rainbow whilst driving in New Zealand. But it was not to be. By the time I arrived at my office just minutes later the skies were blue.

I took a blip and decided this was sufficiently bright to celebrate the end of the week. I plan to do a bit more work in the study tomorrow possibly purchasing the new bookshelves from IKEA. Then Sunday back down the A1 to Mum's.
