In November

There are things which are supposed to happen in November.  I'm supposed to plant the tulip bulbs in November.  Their place has been occupied by annuals which were late in flowering and kept on going.  I've been wanting to dig them up for some time but there was always a reason not to - largely due to the weather.  Today I did it just as one shower ended and another started.  It is done.  Tulips will be put it at the weekend whatever the weather.

There is a lily which has reached a great height and has now flowered.  In November!  Weird.  Not sure it will survive the forecast frosts though.
