Bond mission
Worked from home yesterday then headed to Alderley to catch up with a colleague before missioning it in the freezing weather to MediaCity for an event I'd been invited to.
And what a mission it was! Delayed trains and trams meant I had no time to get ready so had to arrive at the venue on a red carpet in trainers and ask if I could sneak off and change. It all felt very Bond-like as I emerged ten minutes later from the ladies perfumed, with a long gown and heels on, face full of make-up carrying a bag to put in the cloakroom.
Had a good night as was sat next to a guy who owned a Michelin-starred restaurant and hotel in The Lakes so pretty much spent most of the evening pimping my husband and his new business to him! I should be on commission!
I also caught up with another PR girl who furnished me with some fantastic gossip about David Beckham as she'd hosted his event in Manchester the other night. I love a bit of gossip, tee hee - guilty pleasure! She only had good things to say about him though! We were a DB appreciation society of two.
