Sitting .... Reflecting .....

Sitting on our verandah , the setting sun reminds us of a bushfire . The whole country has had a heatwave for a few days . There have been extensive bushfires in Western Australia caused by lightning strikes . Farms and massive forests have been destroyed . Three young European backpackers perished in a car when they turned right instead of left to attempt to save a trapped horse . A local farmer , who had been notifying all his neighbours of the imminent danger , also lost his life .

The Australian outback can be very unforgiving
