A Big Job

This little fellow (who reminded me a bit of Wall-E) was charged with drying out a puddle on the carpet from a plugged up drinking fountain outside the Judge's chambers at the courthouse.  It seemed a bit drastic to chain him to the thing with a chain that was heavy enough to tow a car but I suppose it's better to be overly cautious than not cautious enough, even though he was not in a spot where he was in any danger of being stolen.  To me the little fellow looked very determined to do a good job with no thought of escape either.  It's not the first time our maintenance team has done something that confuses and baffles us but we now look upon such moments as entertaining and are grateful for the laugh they provide in an otherwise humorless place.
