Death to a Dream

This morning I took a very lovely walk through the neighborhood of where I am and ran across 100's of almond trees that were plowed over. Many many farms are all doing the same thing even though it is a very profitable crop. The number one reason is, the lack of water. Most estimates state 10% of California water supply goes to grow almonds. 

I saw half a dozen types of birds along the way and one squirrel. Enjoying most of today off before heading in to the cold snowy country again...
