Taking Cover

Busy day. New cooker arrived and fitted. Rat catcher checked up on his eradication programme which has worked well. Sorted through the many books we have collected over the years and decided which to keep.

It was a lovely afternoon so walked through the woods towards the new flood works which have now been completed. As we approached the big field the sound of guns echoed across the valley and we had to have a rapid change of route. An organised shoot was taking place and this male pheasant had taken cover.
