In South America due to the significant number of Italian immigrants that arrived in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, gnocchi is a popular dish, even in areas with few Italian immigrants. There is a tradition of eating gnocchi on the 29th of each month, with some people putting money beneath their plates to bring prosperity.

Now today is 29th and is also the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul in Rome so the perfect occasion to prepare a favourite recipe for a special person ;)
