The gales have done away with most of the leaves so the pole in the trees, whose base I decided, way back in January, to use as the centre of my picture, has reappeared. It didn't occur to me back then that it would be obscured for much of the year. I have learnt how very, very difficult it is, even with the pole visible, to hold the camera in exactly the same position week after week. Even shot after shot. I usually take about eight pictures at a time and every one has a different perspective.
