In Rainbows

An odd few days as Barney rages outside. On Monday night I braved hell and high water and went into Bantry for a talk on the Franciscan Friary by a real Franciscan friar - actually a very bizarre experience for many reasons; yesterday Himself was struck down with a nasty lurgy and took to his bed (vertigo) but I went to meet friends for fish and chips and arthouse. No fish as the water had been too wild for boats to venture out, and the film, The Second Mother,  was Brazilian and rather good- old Brazil meets new Brazil, even a few laughs and a happy ending - very unusual for arthouse! Today I went over to the north side for a Meet the Author coffee morning - and I was one of the authors. A lot of chat, a lot of cakes and a few books were purchased, so all good. The drive across was spectacular - everything was going on in Bantry Bay and some astonishing colours. I pulled in to blip this rainbow, my little car buffeted and beaten and I didn't get out!
Tomorrow a treat is in store for I'm taking TJ for her birthday treat and we are off to Inchydoney Spa for a Seaweed Revitaliser session each!  This will involve a seawater bath, algae wrap and a marine scrub!  If there's no blip tomorrow it's because I will be uber relaxed and away with the fairies!
