A post-script to my post of yesterday: Takeshi Sasaki studied under Gichin Funakoshi himself. So I'm only two generations of karateka removed from the father of modern karate*. Which is kind of a mind-job for me - and a responsibility I feel I must try to live up to. Missy-moo told me tonight that I could start to teach her when she turned ten - which is in only a couple of weeks. 8)
