Native Nguzunguzu
A present from H when she popped back from the Solomon Islands. The Nguzunguzu is the traditional God of War in Western Solomons. Usually put in front of the war canoe when tribes are paddling out to other islands to headhunt. A nguzunguzu holding onto a head signifies a fighting trip while a nguzunguzu holding on to a bird signifies a trip to make peace. Makes my one a fighting trip but it's been quite peaceful around here so perhaps it's a sign of things to come...
