Stirling castle

“Are you an actor?” I asked.
“No I am an reenactor….of history” replied Anne, a “chambermaid” in Stirling castle.
 
Well, the presence of actors in Stirling castle this afternoon certainly added to our visit. We had my cousins up from Wales and the choice of places to go on a very wet and windy 
November day in Stirling are limited. 
   
They say if you are going to see only one castle in Scotland then make it Stirling for it has been restored to its original 
condition only with the added bonus of central heating, which
 is much appreciated on a cold, dark, dreich, Scottish afternoon.

PS.  We've got our luggage! arrived tonight.
