Setting Suns
The sunset moves as the year rolls along. It moves in time, earlier and earlier just now, and it moves in place, further westward (or leftward as you look at it, if you prefer that) with every passing day. Around Midwinter it will reverse and the sunset will move eastwards (to the right) and rise later with each passing day.
This picture was taken at 14:27 as the sun went down behind that low hill. The “official” sunset is exactly 30 minutes later when the sun meets the sea. By midwinter the day will be 2 hours shorter!
